Effective Tools & Strategies: Trauma
05/11/2022 04:00 PM - 05:15 PM ET

Summary

Helping people during the immediacy or aftermath of a crisis can be very challenging. Yet providing trained support during this time helps people process their experiences in a way that is critical to reducing the likelihood they will develop PTSD at a later date. Join Lynn Breuer LMSW and Yuliya Gaydayenko LMSW for a discussion that will deepen understanding of the physiologic factors at work under extreme stress as well as specific interventions to help people move forward. Techniques will be helpful in working with clients, but also for direct staff who often carry secondary or vicarious trauma.
